Pick up at 8:30 AM, near Guayaquil, we will visit the Manglares Churute Ecological Reserve. The mangroves are considered a Ramsar site of importance, located in the Naranjal canton, Guayas province, 40 kilometers from the city of Guayaquil.
It is one of the most important sites in the reserve due to the number of freshwater birds that inhabit the site. In this mangrove, apart from being able to observe different types of birds, we will also be able to encounter the howler monkeys that inhabit the area. To observe them, we will take a 40-minute walk through the tropical dry forest. We will also learn a little more about how local people capture the crabs and then bring them to market in the city. After visiting Manglares Churute, we will head to a cacao plantation where we will learn everything about cacao, from its cultivation to the process of making a chocolate bar.
At the end of the tour, each of us will make our own chocolate bar.
